Open to young musicians of any nationality provided they have not been awarded the overall first prize in previous editions of the competition in the same category for which they are applying. The competition will be held in Filadelfia (Vibo Valentia) ITALY, from 03 to 07 May, 2017 .

The application form must be completed in full. Handwritten applications will not be accepted. Applications may be submitted by email only to the address: associazione.melody@libero.it . Please indicate in the subject line of your email the position for which you are applying.
All applications must be accompanied by a)photocopy of participant's identity card or passport b)photocopy of receipt of payment of competition entry fee c)copy of programme (PDF files) chosen for free section within maximum duration allowed for each category d)copy of curriculum vitae of applicant with no more than 100 words Online pre-registration form ( Application Form ). You still need to send within 5 days the application for official registration.
Entry Fees: SOLOISTS € 80,00, CHAMBER MUSIC € 60,00 for each participant up to a maximum fee of € 240,00
ACCOMPANIST The Association will provide an accompanist on request. Request for the same must be made by 3 April, 2017 including PDF files with copies of the pieces for the piano accompanist. The fee for this service is € 50,00 to be added to the entry fee for the competition.

Enrolment in a higher age category: Participants may enrol in a higher age category if they feel their technical and performing skills are of a suitable standard.
The overall winners of the SOLOIST section will win a monetary prize+Diploma as follows: Category A € 100,00 Category B € 150,00 Category C € 200,00 Category D € 250,00 Category E € 500,00 Category F € 750,00
“Paolo Serrao” memorial prize A Special Prize dedicated to the memory of the Filadelfian musician Paolo Serrao will be awarded to a contestant from any section who has gained a total of 100 points out of a possible 100. The winner will be awarded a monetary prize of € 2,000+Diploma ( the specific category prize will not be awarded). In the case of more than one contestant gaining 100 points, the prize will be divided equally among the winners.
Award ceremony and final concert Winners will receive their prizes at the award ceremony and Gala Concert of Winners which will take place on Sunday 07 th May, 2017 at 5 p.m. , authorities and the jury members will be present. In order to receive a prize awarded, participation in the final concert and award ceremony is obligatory.
